As a newly dating couple, I didn’t know any of my boyfriend’s friends, but I wanted to throw him a birthday party. So, I invited my friends. Everyone brought cards and presents, but my boyfriend only knew me. Boy, was he surprised.

That boyfriend became my husband, and over the years, he has shared that joke with our friends. When he recently had a milestone birthday coming up, I wanted to do something he wouldn’t forget. A friend offered to host a surprise party for him.

Party prank repeated

Everyone brought cards and presents, and we had a great time. My husband was again surprised, as was I. Our friend had only invited friends we didn’t know.

We laughed so hard it hurt.
